The Museum contains 22,000 square feet of both temporary and permanent hands-on exhibits exploring the arts, sciences and humanities. You and your students will be part of an informal learning environment highlighting discovery, surprise, and creative expression-our field trip program and teacher preparation materials are designed to help you meet your curriculum goals in fun and innovative ways!

The first floor features exhibits about the arts and humanities and provides opportunities for imaginary and dramatic play, the use of a wide range of motor skills, and group problem-solving and cooperative activities. You and your students can make bubbles, play the musical pathway, freeze your shadow, create computer art, earn a paycheck and spend Discovery Money, and much more! This is also the location of our new parmanent exhibition: Desert Discovery just for children 5 and younger!

The second floor features exhibits about science, communication, and technology and provides opportunities for exploration, observation, cooperation, and critical thinking. You can fly the Space Shuttle, hear a whisper thirty feet away, visit STUFFEE, experience wheelchair basketball, create a moving picture, trick your eyes, and touch a tornado!
